How does context and privacy work?
Fathom collects recordings, transcripts, calendar information, and meeting participant information to provide its service. It can use de-identified meeting content to train and improve its in-house AI unless the account setting opts out; it says outside AI providers cannot train on that content. 2
jo keeps relevant context across sources. Each user has isolated cloud machine and storage; jo uses zero-retention model endpoints and does not train on mail, messages, or screen content.

Fathom offers bot and bot-free Mac capture for meetings, plus integrations for connected meeting workflows. 1
jo works on Apple Silicon Mac and the web, with mobile access through mobile web, iMessage, WhatsApp, and Telegram. There is no native mobile app yet.
